New Car A-Go-Go

Well folks, 2009 has been a crazy year for me. A lot of bad and also some good has occurred but I can honestly say I'll be glad to see it over with and 2010 come rolling in.
One of the wilder things was a car accident a few months back that totalled my sweet paid off hoopty.
The silver lining however is that along with the monthly fun of bill paying I have obtained a 2010 prius which I LOVE! It is a seriously amazing car not only for the gas milage and money saved but also for the gagetry and thoughtfullness put into even the smallest detail of the car.
If your looking for a new vehicle I highly recommend it.

Friends!

On Saturday the 10 day waiting period ended and Spanky and Winston were formally introduced with great result!
They are now officially friends and Winnie follows Spanky wherever he goes and since Spanky follows me wherever I go we look like a mini parade.
Spanky was a very sweet boy and only swatted at Winnie twice when he jumped on his back (and who can blame him).
I think the heat definitely helped mellow them both out.

That's right folks after much ado I have found the new Captain to Spanky's Tennille.
His name is Winston aka Winnie aka Wyn Wyn.
He is a 2 month old boy kitten with brown eyes(not green the flash does that) who I was lucky enough to rescue from the amazing Humane Society of Silicon Valley.

Whats a sure fire pick me up when your feelin low ?...get a hair cut.
I've been needing one for about a month so better late then never, and since I'm trying to grow it out its a slight shade darker than my natural color so when it fades it will be just right.

PS - Spanky's method of coping is to make a fort out of my bedspread.

Farwell Sweet Rufus

Sadly my wonderful cat Rufus died on Saturday at the tender age of 7.
I've owned many cats in my life but Rufus was the best, he was perfect in every way.
Silky, Clean, Sweet, Smart, Friendly, Good Natured and rarely got into trouble.
When he was only 6 months old he taught himself how to play fetch and in many ways was more like a loyal dog than an indifferent feline.
Whenever I was sick he would always stay by my side and when he slept he looked like a bunny.
It's a mystery how he died since he was healthy as a horse the day before and appeared simply to pass in the night inexplicably.
I miss you sweet friend.
